We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a project focused on building data-driven solutions for large industrial enterprises. The client develops a platform that enables industrial companies to leverage advanced data management and AI capabilities to improve operational performance, reduce costs, and unlock real-time insights.
The current role is part of a new team being assembled for a customer in Germany, typically within industries such as energy or manufacturing.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience with Python and SQL;
Experience with machine learning methods, statistics, and/or optimisation techniques;
Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows;
Experience in customer-facing environments or collaborating directly with external clients;
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:
Experience using Python in production environments;
Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure;
Experience working with industrial, manufacturing, or energy-related data.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy scalable analytical solutions using the customer’s platform and a Python-based machine learning stack;
- Work with industrial data end-to-end: connect to the platform, perform data cleansing, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation;
- Build solutions for industrial use cases such as production optimization, predictive maintenance, emissions monitoring, and operational efficiency;
- Implement physics-based and/or machine learning models in Python and deploy them to the client’s model-hosting environment;
- Design and maintain domain-specific data and information models built on top of contextualized industrial data;
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and work directly with external customers to deliver measurable value from their data.
