About the Client:
Australian medical device company that manufactures the Trophon system — a global standard for high-level disinfection of ultrasound probes. The company operates globally, with primary commercial presence in the US, Canada, and Australia/New Zealand.
Role Overview:
The technical leader of the Ukraine team. Owns Omnata implementation (Salesforce ingestion), defines and enforces dbt project standards, reviews all PRs before they go to the client’s IT team, and serves as the daily bridge between the Ukraine engineers and US/Sydney stakeholders. Day-to-day counterpart to the client’s data engineering manager (Rahul, Sydney).
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical execution of the Ukraine-based data engineering team;
- Own Salesforce ingestion pipeline implementation via Omnata;
- Define and enforce dbt best practices, testing standards, and review processes;
- Architect and optimize Snowflake data models across Raw / Validated / Curated layers;
- Conduct code reviews and ensure engineering quality across the team;
- Partner directly with the client’s Data Engineering Manager and global stakeholders;
- Mentor engineers, unblock delivery, and drive technical excellence.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in Snowflake and cloud data warehousing;
- Strong hands-on experience with dbt Core and modern ELT frameworks;
- Advanced SQL and data modeling skills;
- Working knowledge of Python for automation and ingestion scripting;
- Experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda);
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills;
- Professional English for daily international communication.
