Abto Software is looking for a Military & Defence Business Stream Lead to drive our marketing strategy in Defence tech solutions.
About the role:
This is a leadership position in the Military & Defence business stream. The leader is responsible for developing this business stream within the organization, from marketing through to acquiring partners/customers. This role aims to grow the organization in terms of both revenue and headcount based on the services of the specified stream.
At the same time, the partner/customer satisfaction shall be maintained at all times by building and preserving the strategic trust and focusing on long-term value. Close collaboration with Abto’s C-level executives and marketing team is expected.
Priorities:
- Software + hardware development services for Military/Defence customers from Western Europe (main priority) and the US+Canada (secondary priority);
- Other Software Development services;
- Main strategic goal: company growth;
- Ensure budget and profit margin targets are met.
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of experience in marketing, business development, or sales in IT (product and/or services companies);
- Experience in a leadership or senior role;
- Experience in B2B marketing and/or business development in AI, Defence, or other complex tech domains;
- Proven experience in lead generation, pre-sales, and/or sales processes;
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to execute hands-on;
- Experience working with C-level stakeholders and cross-functional teams;
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English (written and spoken).
Responsibilities:
Marketing development (Military&Defence segment):
- Cooperate with the company’s C-level executives to develop and execute the marketing strategy;
- Improve/Rebuild the current company market positioning;
- Launch, analyze, and optimize marketing campaigns;
- Co-develop technical content: presentations, whitepapers, R&D articles, case studies, industry insights;
- Collaborate closely with the R&D team;
- Lead content marketing;
- Oversee the company’s presence on marketplaces, listings, and specific platforms;
- Provide regular marketing effectiveness and competitive analysis reports.
Acquiring new customers:
- Drive marketing/lead generation campaigns according to the lead selection criteria agreed in advance;
- Drive pre-sales and customer engagement processes of the lead specified (Abto will provide a reasonable level of help);
- Discover, propose & brainstorm new services and solutions;
Enable further development of targeted accounts by identifying opportunities, building mutual trust, and delivering value to the customer.
Drive revenue by defining sales and growth strategy toward targeted accounts while aligning with critical sales business objectives.
