We are looking for a Senior AWS DevOps/Backend Python Engineer to join our team.
You will be working on a mobile-first communication and engagement platform designed for large-scale enterprise workforces (enabling secure real-time messaging, broadcasts, and community features). The system architecture is a highly resilient, multi-tenant cloud ecosystem featuring a fast-evolving Generative AI layer (built on advanced RAG models and vector databases). It processes high-volume transactional data, handles massive media asset delivery, and maintains strict industry compliance standards.
AWS Infrastructure & DevOps Ownership (Primary Focus)
Architect and implement fully automated, repeatable release pipelines, replacing legacy patterns with modern DevOps best practices;
Design and lead the infrastructure roadmap for migrating core data storage to a highly scalable serverless architecture to handle peak traffic spikes efficiently;
Lead the transition of primary transactional databases to high-availability (Multi-AZ) configurations ensuring zero downtime;
Proactively manage cost optimization, infrastructure right-sizing, security monitoring, and compliance standards;
Backend Engineering (Secondary Focus)
DevOps & Cloud Expertise
Extensive hands-on experience managing core AWS services (including EC2, ECS/Fargate, Lambda, BedRock, VPC, RDS, Route 53 and security stack) within a commercial production environment;
Strong commercial expertise in Terraform for building and maintaining infrastructure (experience with Ansible is a plus);
A solid conceptual understanding of database scaling, multi-tenant pool models with metadata isolation, and serverless compute paradigms;
Prior experience working within, or maintaining infrastructure for, strict industry compliance frameworks (such as SOC 2 Type II) is highly desirable.
Backend & Automation Capabilities
Production-proven commercial experience with Python and Django / Django REST Framework sufficient to independently dive into an existing codebase, write features, and debug code;
Solid understanding of background task processing and message brokers (such as Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis);
Strong ability to optimize database queries, understanding Django ORM and avoiding performance pitfalls;
