We’re looking for a Freelance BI Expert to join our team and lead the data ingestion and visualization phase for an exciting e-commerce project.
This role is ideal for someone experienced with AWS Glue, PySpark, and Amazon QuickSight, who enjoys hands-on data work and can turn fragmented sources into clean, visual insights.
Technical Stack:
- AWS Glue (ETL, Crawlers, Data Catalog);
- Amazon S3 (Data Lake);
- Amazon Athena (SQL Queries);
- Amazon QuickSight (Dashboards);
- Python/PySpark;
- Optional: Figma, Grafana, Lambda.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with AWS Glue and PySpark for building ETL pipelines.
- Experience storing and querying datasets using Amazon S3 and Athena.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and analysis.
- Ability to work with CSV files and basic APIs (e.g., Facebook Ads, Amazon).
- Experience handling end-to-end data workflows, from ingestion to dashboarding.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Amazon QuickSight or similar BI tools.
- Background in e-commerce, sales, or inventory reporting.
- Understanding of basic forecasting models (e.g., Prophet).
- Familiarity with AWS IAM roles and permissions.
Responsibilities:
- Ingest & Transform Data from Shopify, Amazon, Facebook Ads, and other sources via CSV files or APIs.
- Build data pipelines using AWS Glue and PySpark, storing processed data in Amazon S3.
- Register datasets in the AWS Glue Data Catalog and validate using Amazon Athena.
- Design and propose wireframes for a dashboard to display key business metrics (e.g., sales trends, inventory health, marketing ROI).
- Implement basic dashboards in Amazon QuickSight or collaborate on design mockups (e.g., in Figma).
- Document pipeline logic, data schemas, and handover instructions for future use.
- Collaborate on simple analytics such as sales seasonality, inventory runway, and marketing performance.
